Android Smartphones Users will get Satellite Connectivity as a result of a partnership between the Satellite Phone Firm Iridium and Qualcomm. This will bring satellite connectivity to Android Smartphones later in the year.
This means that in places where there is no mobile coverage, Smartphones can connect with passing satellites to send & receive messages. As we all know Qualcomm's chips are found in many Android Smartphones. Apple announced a satellite feature for the iPhone 14 in September 2022.
